Travelling to Wales by air
Wales is easily reached from the London airports whether you travel by train, car or bus. If you rent a car, you can get from London to South Wales in only two to three hours. By train it’s even quicker, just two hours from London to Cardiff. If you prefer to travel by bus, National Express coach services travel direct to both South Wales and North Wales.
Getting to Wales by car, bus, or train is even faster from Birmingham or Manchester airports, both of which are conveniently located for a trip to Wales and have direct flights from Canada.
Plenty of flights operate between Canada and Britain. Here are the main operators to get you started:
Cardiff International Airport
The airport is situated in Rhoose, 12 miles (20 kms) south-west of Cardiff City Centre. Buses, trains and taxis link the airport to Cardiff City Centre. Taxis cost approximately £20 and bus times and information can be found on the airport’s website.
